QUETTA, 8 November: Four people were killed and as many sustained injuries in two separate firing incidents in Quetta on Saturday.

Police said unidentified miscreants riding a motorcycle opened fire at a shop situated at Jan Muhammad Road near the Children Hospital, killing two people and injuring four others.

In a separate incident, armed men on a motorcycle opened fire at a Suzuki van on Ispani Road, killing two people. Balochistan Home Secretary Akbar Durrani said it was apparently a target killing incident.

The injured people in both the incidents were taken to Civil Hospital for treatment. Police launched search operation after the incidents but no arrest was made.
