SWAT, July 11: Four more cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in Swat, raising the total number of cases to 15 in the district.
According to sources in the Saidu Sharif Hospital, the fresh cases include three women and a man, hailing from Amankot area.
In-charge of the dengue ward, Dr Wasil, told TNN that arrangements had been made in the 30-bed ward to treat the patients properly.
Presently four women and five men are under-treatment while six patients have been discharged after treatment, he added.
Dengue fever has claimed several lives in Swat. Doctors say dengue mosquitoes grow in open water and ponds and bite usually at times of sunrise and sunset.
