PESHAWAR, September 11: Four players from Peshawar district have been included in the Pakistani team for participation in the Fourth Blind Cricket World Cup that will start in South Africa in November.
The players include Mr Haroon Khan, Mr Mohsin Khan, Mr Zahidullah and Khalid Zubair. The trials for the cricket event would begin from 22 September in Lahore, Punjab province.
The World Blind Cricket Council has been governing the cricket events for the blind and partially sighted players since 1996. Three Blind World Cups have been held till now. The first two were held in India in 1998 and 2002 and the third one was organised in Pakistan in 2006.
