MARADAN, 17 December: A female student of Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts has secured first position in the national level painting competition at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Faras Rafiq said in an interview with TNN that she is currently in her fifth semester of BS Arts programme and she hails from Charsadda. She said she participated in the painting competition at Abdul Wali Khan University on theme of “Say No To Corruption” of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). She said competitions were held on provincial and national level and she secured top position in both competitions and won gold medal.

“I want to make my future with my passion of painting. I want to join Aviation Artists Air Force Field and serve my country. I want to tell the girls that it is a highly respectable and noble profession. You can follow your passion with honour and display your work at gallery,” Faras said.

She said she also got first position in painting at the National Youth Carnival.
