PESHAWAR: Girls clearly outshined boys as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar on Thursday announced results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams.

Not even a single student from the government schools could secure any position in the top-20 students. Girls performed outstandingly by grabbing top-24 positions.

In the Science Group, Sarah Yousaf of Peshawar Model School topped the exam by securing 1,062 marks, Bibi Bakhtawar and Torya Gul of the same school shared the second position with 1,060 marks, while Anisa Muskan from Peshawar Model School and Sania Shah of University Model School shared third position with 1,058 marks.

In Arts Group, Lanta Khan secured top position with 958 marks, while Hussainullah remained second with 939 marks. Jamal from Peshawar Girls Forward High School and Sajidullah of Usmania Children Academy shared third position with 932 marks each.
