PESHAWAR, 16 December: Glorious tributes were paid all over Pakistan to the martyrs of Army Public School on the first anniversary of the tragic incident. Different programs, seminars, rallies and conferences were held in different cities of the country and special prayers were offered to the martyred students and their teachers for their sacrifices.
Different political parties, members of civil society, youth organizations, minorities’ associations and students union held activities to show solidarity with the families of the victims.
A mammoth rally was held by Youth of Pakistan which started from Motorway interchange and ended at Peshawar press club. Large number of people attended the rally.
They paid glorious tributes to the students and teachers who were mercilessly killed by the terrorists and said their sacrifice had paved way for restoration of peace in the country.
They further said that all their sympathies were with the family members of the students but at the same they demanded of the government to bring all the perpetrators of that heinous crime to justice.
They also demanded of the government to establish a university in the name of APS martyrs.
