PESHAWAR, 5 May: The federal government has decided to computerise all the arms licences in Pakistan by December, 2015.

The decision was taken at a high-level meeting headed by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad yesterday. The meeting gave time till 31 December to the arms licence holders to computerise their licences.

The meeting decided that all the manual arms licences obtained from 1973 to 2013 will be computerised. The deadline will not be extended any further.

It was also decided in the meeting that licences will not be issued to people below the age of 25 years.
