Sardar Abbasi IDPs

PESHAWAR, July 26: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Mr Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, said on Friday that Afghanistan was tempting displaced families from North Waziristan Agency by offering them financial support and other facilities.

“It is interference in our national affairs,” he said while talking to journalists.

He said that instead of inviting Waziristan IDPs to their country, the Afghan government must divert their resources and energies towards the repatriation of Afghans, who have been living in Pakistan as refugees since long.

He added that most of the tribal families, displaced due to military operation in North Waziristan, had returned to Pakistan through the Kurram Agency route.
