PESHAWAR, 27 October: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Monday asked FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) to send relief goods and food items for the people affected by earthquake in the tribal areas.

The governor directed the political administration of Bajaur Agency to pay Rs50,000 to the families of those who lost their lives and Rs10,000 to the injured on immediate basis. He said compensation package for the affected people will be announced later.

Mr Mehtab also visited Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar and inquired about the health of injured people. He asked the hospital administration to ensure all medical facilities to the injured.

The governor said all hospitals had been ordered to remain functional round the clock. He said the administration has been asked to carryout surveys in affected areas in order to determine the damages.
