In a recent escalation of political tensions, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur sent a legal notice to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. In response, Kundi offered Gandapur free mental health treatment in Sindh if Kundi had caused him any mental distress.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi suggested that if CM Gandapur is unable to improve the province's conditions, he should consider resigning.
Kundi emphasized the importance of involving all political parties in the "Azm-e-Istahkam" operation: "In the Apex Committee meeting, the Chief Minister did not raise any objections against the operation. The law and order situation is alarming, and while we do not support the operation, we are not politicizing the matter. If there is an alternative to improve the situation without an operation, please inform us."
He further commented on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party's current state, noting that PTI now claims it cannot protest due to lack of permission, despite previously holding rallies and protests without consent. Kundi criticized PTI's lawyers for creating problems and putting their party in difficult situations.
