KOHAT, July 25: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Mr Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, has inaugurated the Khushal Garh Bridge, constructed on River Kabul between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
The construction of the bridge was started in the previous provincial government of Awami National Party and the project concluded in three years at a cost of 1.30 billion rupees.
The inauguration ceremony was held in Kohat district where Senator Abbas Afridi, governor and other authorities were present.
The governor said the bridge would strengthen the communications among Punjab and southern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, besides boosting trade and generating employment opportunities.
He said the government was also aware of the problems being faced by internally displaced persons of North Waziristan and that they would be repatriated back to their native areas soon.
