GHALLANAI, 6 May: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan has called for early completion of Mohmand Marble City.

The governor was told was FATA Development Authority (FDA) officials during his visit to Mohmand Agency yesterday that 82 percent work on Mohmand Marble City has been completed. The governor said the project will play a crucial role in development of FATA.

“It is my second visit to Mohmand Agency. Our main aim is to restore peace in the area and confidence of the people in the government. We want to strengthen the bond between the tribal population and the government. We don’t want to live here like rulers. We want to be friendly with the masses and resolve their problems,” the governor said.

During his visit, Mr Mehtab also approved construction of five new small dams and six irrigation channels in Mohmand Agency. He said the new irrigation channels will irrigate 3,500 acres land.

The governor also announced a grant of Rs2.5 million for disabled people of the area.
