PESHAWAR: A delegation of All Khassadar Force representatives led by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman at the Governor House in Peshawar on Sunday.
All Khassadar Force Chairman Major Syed Jalal Wazir and 25 members of the core committee participated in the meeting. Governor Shah Farman assured that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will protect the jobs of Khassadar personnel during the reforms process in the tribal districts. He made it clear that there was no truth in rumours about ending the jobs of Khassadar force.
Shah Farman said the government will first take decision about Khassadar force, then Levies and then Frontier Constabulary and all the personnel will also be upgraded according to the new service structure.
Earlier, Noorul Haq Qadri along with MNAs Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Iqbal Afridi and Sajid Turi also attended a function of Khassadar personnel.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister said the PTI government supports reforms in the tribal districts. However, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was staging a drama in the name of reforms and the government will not support that drama.
The minister said the previous government did not clarify what will happen with the Khassadar Force after reforms. Besides that, he said, there was no clarity about the future of the quota system and scholarships for the tribal students. He said the political administration used to give scholarships to the poor people under the old system, but the new reforms package doesn’t mention anything about that system.
He made it clear that the government will not do any injustice to the Khassadar and Levies and will protect their future.
