NOWSHERA: The building of a government hospital has been used for a dance party and fireworks in Kaka Sahib area of Nowshera.
TNN correspondent reported that participants of a wedding ceremony in Kaka Sahib, Nowshera, arranged a dance party and fireworks at Category-D Hospital. Someone filmed the fireworks and dance party on mobile phone and shared it on the social media which went viral within no time.
People on social media in their comments are criticizing the Health Department for their negligence in this regard. TNN correspondent made several attempts to contact the district health officer of Nowshera for his views on the issue, but he was not available for comments.
Nowshera Deputy Commissioner Shahid Khan expressed surprise and anger over the dance party and fireworks at the government hospital. He assured that the matter will be probed thoroughly and strict action will be taken against people involved in negligence.
It is unclear as to who allowed a wedding function in government hospital, but it has drawn sharp criticism from social circles. People said that instead of provision of all facilities at hospitals, its buildings are used for wedding parties, which shows the non-seriousness in improving the health sector.
Traffic accidents in Nowshera, Mardan, Khyber
Four people lost their lives and 17 others were injured in traffic accidents in Khyber, Nowshera and Mardan on Friday.
Police said a traffic accident happened at Prang Sam Morr in Jamrud area of Khyber tribal district in which three people died and seven were injured. The accident happened due to collision between two cars and a pick up van. The injured were shifted to Peshawar.
In Nowshera, a young man died and another was injured in a traffic accident. Rescue 1122 said, the deceased was identified as 17-year-old Talha. The injured was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar where his condition was stated to be critical.
In Mardan, a car collided with a passenger coach coming from the opposite direction at Dheri Stop in Rustam due to which nine people were injured. The injured were shifted to hospitals.
Most accidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa happened due to poor condition of roads and reckless driving by untrained drivers.
