PESHAWAR, 10 May: The graduation ceremony of the muftis, ulema and qaris was held at the Jamia Imdadul Uloom Darvesh here today.

In this connection, the dastar bandi of as many as 250 students was held at the seminary. Sheikhul Hadees Maulana Azizul Hasan distributed certificates among the passing out students and performed dastar bandi (investiture of academic gowns and turbans) ceremony. Collective prayer was also held at the end of the programme.

Talking to the TNN, a fresh graduate of the madrassa said: “It took me 12 years to graduate from this institute. I am so happy today; it became possible due to the prayers of my parents. Now I will spread my knowledge to the Muslim Ummah so that people can be benefited from it. We are very happy that we graduated in Islamic studies and we are proud of it.”
