PESHAWAR, 6 December: Pakistan’s experienced batsman Muhammad Hafeez has joined Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) team Dhaka Dynamites for the remaining matches of the tournament.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Hafeez for playing BPL. Hafeez had earlier claimed that he turned down an offer of Rs10 million to play for the Chittagong franchise since the squad also included tainted fast bowler Muhammad Amir who was punished for his role in spot-fixing. He said he will not playing alongside a player who has brought bad name for the country.
However, according to some media reports, none of the five teams in the league had shown interest in signing Hafeez. The PCB had also issued notice to Hafeez over the issue.
