PESHAWAR, 25 December: The FATA Youth Festival will continue for third day on Friday.

An exhibition of handicrafts, old weapons and other rare materials was organised at the festival on Thursday night. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan and other people from different walks of life attended the event.

Stalls on famous FATA cuisines were also arranged on the occasion. The visitors took keen interest in Khyber Agency’s ‘tikka’, rice of Kurram Agency and Kohat and ‘penda’ of Frontier Region (FR) Kohat.

A visitor told TNN that he saw very attractive food items at the stalls for the first time. “We saw how penda is prepared and we enjoyed it a lot,” he said.

Another visitor said the event was arranged to attract the local youth towards positive activities. “I greatly enjoyed the old weapons and music instruments exhibition,” he said.

Some sports and other events of the FATA Youth Festival have been organised in Khyber, Mohmand and Bajaur tribal agencies. The Khyber Agency team defeated All FATA team in a baseball match on Thursday.
