SADDA, 19 May: Heavy rains coupled with strong winds have damaged standing crops and orchards in Kurram Agency.

The local people said their standing crops of wheat and orchards have been damaged due to rains and hailstorm for the last three days. The affected farmers have demanded the political administration to extend financial assistance to them.

“Wheat, tomato and other vegetable crops have been damaged by rains. Most people in this area are poor. The governor should extend financial assistance to us for our damages,” a local farmer told TNN.
