BARA: A total of forty-three families of civilians and security forces martyred during the war against the militancy, were provided ‘shuhada’ package in a ceremony held here in Melward FC camp in Bara sub-division on Tuesday.
In this connection, a gathering was organized that was attended by wing commander Lieutenant Col Imran as chief guest. Relatives of the martyrs, tribal elders and the officials of the district administration also participated in the ceremony and paid tributes to the sacrifices of the martyred soldiers and civilians.
Addressing on the occasion Lieutenant Col Imran said that peace has been restored in the area with joint sacrifices of civilians and security forces. “People of Pakistan will always remember the sacrifices they’ve rendered for the country”, he remarked. He maintained that enemy could not succeed in their evil designs to harm Pakistan because of brave people and forces of the country. The official assured the families of the martyrs that they would never be left alone and all possible assistance would be extended to them to ease their lives. In the end, he gave away martyrs package to 43 families of the martyrs.
Traders escape in IED blast Ghalanai
GHALANAI: A local traders escaped an Improvised Explosive Device planted by unknown miscreants at Olai Shah area of tehsil Ambar, Lower Sub-Division of tribal district Mohmand on Tuesday.
The district administration officials told media that the target was a local trader Haji Lal Zada who was at the car along with Haji Ghafor, Haji Muhammad Zahir and driver Itbar Khan. As a result of the blast, the vehicle was damaged, however, all the persons remain unhurt.
Assistant Commissioner Lower Mohmand, Qaiser Alam Khan confirmed the report and told that further investigation is underway. After the incident, the security forces cordoned off the area for a search operation in the adjoining areas but so far no arrest was made.
