LAKKI MARWAT, 2 December: The Helping Hand, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has donated equipment worth Rs100 to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Serai Naurang in Lakki Marwat.

In this regard a ceremony was organised at the hospital on Thursday evening during which the Helping Hand officials with the cooperation of Al-Khidmat Foundation handed over stretchers and other equipment used in surgical, gynaecology wards and operation theatre to the medical superintendent.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan, who also attended the ceremony, appreciated the efforts of Helping Hand for serving humanity. He said provision of equipment to the hospital is a very positive step. He said other social organisations should also step up their humanitarian efforts.

District Health Officer Dr Ghaffar Wazir said he is very thankful to Helping Hand for providing medical equipment to the hospital.

“I remember when I was posted in Bannu this organisation also helped displaced people there. The organisation is doing a tremendous job for helping the people in need,” he said.
