PESHAWAR: The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held in Karachi tomorrow (Thursday) for sighting Eidul Fitr crescent.

Chairman of Reut-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Munibur Rehman will head the committee. The meetings of the zonal and district committees will also be held at respective locations. Eidul Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Friday if the moon was sighted tomorrow and Eid will be on Saturday if the crescent was not sighted.

The Pakistan Metrological Department has predicted that Eid moon in Pakistan is likely to be sighted on 15 June. It said there are less chances of moon-sighting on 14 June, therefore, Eid is likely to be celebrated on 16 June.

After a long period of time, first Ramazan was observed throughout the world, including Pakistan, the same day and there are strong chances that Eid will also be celebrated the same day.

However, the situation may be different if Eid moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
