PESHAWAR, 22 September: The holidays of Emergency Rescue Service in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been cancelled during Muharram.
Rescue service spokesman Bilal Ahmed Faizi said Director General Asad Ali Khan has cancelled holidays of all the officials and issued alert in all the districts. He said the rescue personnel will present during the mourning processions to provide help to the participants if needed. He said medical camps will also be set up for the mourning processions.
The holidays of Health Department employees in Hangu have also been cancelled with the start of Muharram.
The administration of Orakzai Agency has also declared 19 out of 79 imambargahs sensitive during Muharram.
