BARA, 26 May: The FATA Forest Department has distributed honeybee boxes among 44 farmers in Khyber Agency.

The Forest Department Director Tayyeb Abdullah Marwat told TNN that free of cost boxes had been distributed among the farmers in different areas of FATA to promote honey business. He said every farmer had been given five boxes and training was also given to them for keeping honeybees.

The farmers who received honeybee boxes appreciated the Forest Department’s efforts for promotion of honeybee business. They have also demanded increase in the quantity of honeybee boxes being provided to farmers.

“This is a very positive move by the Forest Department to promote honey business. Previously, they gave us three boxes and now every farmer is getting five boxes. The honey bee business will get boom if more boxes are provided to farmers,” a farmer who received honeybee boxes told TNN.

“The Forest Department has trained us for the honeybee business. They are also available for any guidance in the future about the business,” another farmer said.
