PESHAWAR, 6 October: Owing to security reasons, All Hotel Association (AHA) has decided to keep all  hotels closed located in sensitive areas of Peshawar on the days of upcoming Muharram processions.

This was decided during a meeting held between the members of all hotel association and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gul Nawaz in Peshawar on Tuesday. The areas, where hotels will remain closed during Muharram processions, are Qisakhwani, Andar Shehar, Gintaghar, Khyber Bazaar.

Talking to TNN AHA president Awal Khan said “during the meeting we decide to close hotels in said areas on Muharram 6, in order to avoid any untoward situation”.

It merits a mention here that shopkeepers in sensitive parts of Peshawar have already decided to close their businesses on the of Muharram processions.
