PESHAWAR, 11 December: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced schedule for the next year’s Twenty20 World Cup in India.

According to a statement of the ICC on  Friday, Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group and the arch-rivals will cross swords on 19 March in Dharmasala. The teams have been divided into two groups for the mega event which will begin on 8 March. Pakistan feature in a tough Super 10 Group 2 which also includes 2015 World Cup champions Australia and runners-up New Zealand.

The final match of the event will be played on 3 April. There is a reserve day for the finals. Pakistan had won the World T-20 in 2009 under the captaincy of Younis Khan.
