
QUETTA, 23 February: An intensive care unit (ICU) has been inaugurated at the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital in Quetta.
Balochistan Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch inaugurated the intensive care unit established with the cooperation of Pakistan Chest Association on Wednesday. He told TNN that the ICU was direly needed at the hospital. He said the ICU will benefit the visiting patients.
βThe establishment of ICU was a long standing demand of the visiting patients which has been fulfilled now. It is a gift from the Chest Association. However, we have inaugurated the ICU with the funds of the hospital,β the minister said.
Director General Health, Medical Superintendent of Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital and other officials were also present on the occasion.
