BANNU, 04 December: The internally displaced children of North Waziristan are getting prone to diseases as the winter comes closer.

A large number of children have got infected with different viral diseases including flu, cough, throat and chest infection and other respiratory diseases. Besides, a large number of people have also been affected with skin diseases.

Comparatively, we the IDPs are more prone to diseases because we do not have proper facilities to protect our children from the cold, remarked a displaced person from Waziristan referring to the locals of Bannu.

When asked about how to protect kids from diseases, Dr. Ihsan told TNN that extra care should be taken to protect children from cold. He further added that cleanliness should also be maintained in our surrounding.
