QUETTA, 15 August: An improvised explosive device (IED) targeting security forces vehicle in Balochistan’s Harnai district on Monday night killed six soldiers of the Frontier Corps and injured three others.
According to police officials, the incident took place in Khost area of Harnai. The FC vehicle was on routine patrolling in Khost area when it hit by an IED, planted on the road side, said police officials.
The martyred soldiers have been identified as Lance Naik Yousaf Imran, Sepoy Shahab-ud-din, Sepoy Fayyaz, Sepoy Umer, Sepoy Naeem and Civil Security Fazal Rehman.
The injured were rushed to Quetta for medical treatment.
Soon after the blast, a large contingent of security forces personnel rushed to the spot for rescue efforts and mounted search operation in the area. The vehicle completely destroyed in the explosion.
