PESHAWAR, 15 November: The Inspector General Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended the station house officer (SHO) of City police station, Charsadda on charges of corruption and violating sanctity of people’s privacy.
According to spokesman of the provincial police chief, a resident of Charsadda district had lodged a complaint with IG alleging the police official Imran Khan of raiding his house and violating his privacy.
“On the directives of the police chief, DIG Mardan Ijaz Khan suspended the concerned official with immediate effect and directed him to report to the Line,” the spokesman said in a statement. He added that further investigations were also initiated against the officer.
The suspended police officer has also been accused of corruption and illegally using his lawful authority.
