PESHAWAR, 3 November: Chairman Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan on Tuesday set 11 falcons free that were recently recovered by the officials of Wild Life department from smugglers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
In this connection a ceremony was held in the lawn of Chief Minister House Peshawar which was attended by CM Pervez Khattak, provincial ministers PTI leader Jahangir Tareen and others.
On October 29, the Wildlife Department of Lakki Marwat foiled smuggling bid of 8 falcons to Karachi and arrested a smuggler. According to the Wildlife Department chief Khan Malook these falcons worth Rs10 million were to be further smuggled to Gulf countries from Karachi. He said the falcons are used for hunting other birds in Gulf countries.
