PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided that Imran Khan will take oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan at a simple and modest ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

It was decided at a meeting under the party chairman at his Banigala residence on Wednesday.

Imran Khan had expressed his wish to take oath at either at Islamabad’s D-Chowk or Parade Ground. However, the President House informed that the 20th prime minister of Pakistan will take oath at the President House and the oath will be administered by President Mamnoon Hussain.

Media reports said the President House conveyed that the oath-taking ceremony cannot be shifted to another location as per the wishes of anyone.

Meanwhile, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said while talking to media persons that the party is in contact with the MQM-P and others to form the government in the Centre.

He hoped that PTI will manage to get required number of seats in the National Assembly to form government after the BNP-Mengal has assured its support to Imran Khan. He said PTI is short of only three members from getting clear majority.
