PTI chairman Imran Khantalking to a delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa led by speaker KP assembly Asad Qaiser.

PESHAWAR, 25 November: Chairman Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) should serve the purpose of developing backward areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata and Baluchistan.

Talking to a delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa led by speaker KP assembly Asad Qaiser, Imran Khan said it is ironic that the federal government had been changing the route.

“In China, the project was started to bring the underdeveloped areas at par with developed areas but in Pakistan, it is being taken into already developed parts while the backwards areas are being ignored intentionally,” he lamented.

The PTI chief vowed that his party would continue to work for the uplift of backward and oppressed segments of the society.
Imran Khan said reforms in Fata should be brought as per the aspirations of the local people and nothing should be imposed upon them.
