PESHAWAR, 12 November: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has strongly criticised the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for removing electricity transformers from NA-4 constituency of Peshawar after defeat in the recent by-election.

Imran Khan said in a Twitter message that the PML-N had installed transformers in NA-4 to bribe the voters, but they took back the transformers after defeat in the election. He said this act of the PML-N has proved that it has no concern for the welfare of the masses.

The people of Chamkani area had also staged protest over removal of transformers from their area on Saturday.

Nasir Mosazai, the losing candidate of the PML-N, admitted while talking to a news channel that he had promised the people of Kohe Daman area to resolve their electricity and gas problem on permanent basis if he won the election. He said he had also requested WAPDA to resolve this problem. However, he said, the people should approach the winning candidate for resolution of their problems as he has no powers now.
