PESHAWAR, 12 December: The Afghan and Indian cricket boards have signed an agreement under which India will host practice and other matches for Afghanistan.
Uttar Pradesh Cricket Board honorary member Rajiv Shukla said the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will extend all sorts of cooperation with Afghanistan for promotion of cricket. The Afghan cricket team till recently used Sharjah for practice and other matches. Under the new agreement, Afghan cricket team will now use Greater Noida Cricket Stadium for practice.
CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Shafiq Stanikzai said the board was trying to shift base to India for the last few years. He hoped to host international matches on the stadium soon.
