PESHAWAR, 26 May: Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has supported Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’s statement that India will use terrorism to eliminate terrorism.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz had strongly condemned Mr Parrikar’s statement few days ago and had stated that the Indian minister’s statement verified Pakistan’s apprehensions about Indian involvement of terror activities in Pakistan. Mr Aziz had stated that terrorism was a joint problem of Pakistan and India and both countries should join hands to fight this menace.

Mr Singh has now repeated allegations against Pakistan. He stated that the international community knows well who is involved in terrorism. He said India is hopeful that Pakistan will cooperate in eliminating terrorism.

The statements by the Indian defence and home ministers came at a time when relations are already strained between Pakistan and India.
