PESHAWAR, 13 May: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a cricket series between India and Pakistan to improve bilateral relations.

According to Indian media, Mr Modi said at a meeting of the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) yesterday that reports about end of cricketing ties between Pakistan and India were not correct. He said he wants to improve relations with Pakistan through cricket diplomacy.

A BJP leader had told media two days ago that the proposed Pakistan-India cricket series in the United Arab Emirates in December is not possible.
