Srinivasan has been removed from the office of the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman on Monday after the (Board of Control for Cricket in India) BCCI decided to recall him, media reports say.

BCCI’s secretary Anurag Thakur told media in Mumbai that the newly elected president of the board Shashank Manohar had been nominated for the top post of the ICC.

Srinivasan was charged for spot fixing during the lucrative IPL season. Due to these allegations, the Indian Supreme Court had also disqualified him for the office of BCCI president.
