PESHAWAR, 8 October: Pakistan fast bowler Muhammad Aamir has been ruled out of five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka after sustaining a stress injury during the ongoing second Test match in Dubai.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said doctors have advised three weeks rest to Muhammad Aamir. However, he will bat in the ongoing Test in Dubai.

The five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka will start on 13 October. Usman Shinwari from Khyber Agency is likely to replace Aamir in the ODI squad. The PCB said his replacement will be announced soon.
