PESHAWAR, 19 June: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmed Khan has inaugurated the interest-free loan scheme—Akhowat Scheme—for the residents of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

In this connection, a ceremony was held at the Govenor’s House where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Akhowat Bank. The bank would give loans ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 rupees to the people of FATA on easy instalments. According to a handout issued from the Governor’s House the bank has released Rs. 50 million for Akhowat Scheme.
