PESHAWAR, 21 May: After a long wait of six-years, international cricket is set to resume in Pakistan today with a T-20 match against Zimbabwe at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The match is scheduled to start at 07:00pm (PST).

Both the teams practiced at Qaddafi Stadium under floodlights amid strict security arrangements.

Pakistan team will be strengthened with the return of seasoned all-rounder Shoaib Malik and pacer Muhammad Sami in the squad. The Qaddafi Stadium pitch traditionally supports batsmen.

Zimbabwe coach Dav Whatmore said he is aware of weaknesses in Pakistan’s cricket team.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan said the Zimbabwe cricket team tour will open doors for more teams to tour Pakistan.

Zimbabwe are the first team to visit Pakistan after terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore in 2009.
