International cricket to fully resume in Pakistan in two years: PCB chief

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi has said complete resumption of international cricket in Pakistan will take two years.

Talking to a foreign channel, the PCB chief said the national cricket team is training hard to improve performance in Test and one-day cricket. He said the performance of the team in T20 cricket has improved a lot. He said the PCB will give chance to new faces, but it will be done in phases.

Mr Sethi said Zimbabwe and Sri Lankan teams have visited Pakistan and West Indies team will also visit Pakistan next month. He said the visit of West Indies team to Pakistan will prove helpful in full resumption of international cricket in Pakistan.

He said the Pakistan Super League has greatly benefited the Pakistani cricket and new talent has surfaced.
