IDPs package

PESHAWAR, November 7: The federal government has announced to provide monthly succour of 12,000 rupees each to displaced families of other tribal agencies as has already been decided for internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Malakand and North Wazirisatn Agency.

For the purpose, the FATA Secretariat has sought two billion rupees from the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFON).

Azam Khan, the additional chief secretary of FATA region, has written to the SAFRON ministry that each family of North Waziristan and Malakand are given 12,000 rupees per month. He says same is the right of those displaced from other area of FATA.

In the letter, the federal government has been asked to release funds to help the affectees.

An estimated 69,021 affected families of North Waziristan are being provided with monthly stipend of 12,000 rupees each. However, there are about 160,805 families displaced from other tribal agencies.
