PESHAWAR, 29 October: Italian police has handed over a suspect involved in Army Public School (APS) massacre occured on Secember 16 last year, to Federal Investigation Agency early Thursday morning, security officials told media.
According to media reports the accused Usman Ghani was brought by Italian police in a private plane to Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) where they turned over him to FIA
Usman Ghani, hailing from Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fled to Italy after the deadly attack that left 152 people dead including 142 students of APS. He was arrested in Italy with the Interpol’s help.
The sources said that FIA has handed over the accused to the concerned Pakistani security agencies for further investigation.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) so far 12 suspects of the APS attack have been arrested by security agencies while six others are still at large. The sources said some of the suspects revealed the name of Usman to a security agency dealing with the case of APS attack..
The law enforcement agencies say that Moulana Fazlullah chief of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan planned the and controlled attack on APS from Afghanistan.
