PESHAWAR, November 18: Japan has announced to provide financial succor of 540 million rupees to Pakistan for eradication of polio.

An agreement has been signed between National Institute of Health (NIH) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), under which a number of polio vaccination campaigns shall be carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi and tribal areas by November 2015.

As per the agreement, about 15 million vaccines, 1.3 million injections and 100 solar refrigerators would be provided to the country.
