PESHAWAR, 6 December: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) ameer for Peshawar Mushtaq Ahmed Khan has said the government should merge FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without delay if it is sincere with the tribal people.

Talking to delegations from FATA at Al-Markaz Islami in Peshawar on Monday, the JI leader said all the tribal lawmakers are unanimous on the issue of merger with KP. He said those who are talking about referendum in FATA are trying to delay the reforms process.

Mushtaq Ahmed said decision of march on Islamabad for the rights of FATA people is irreversible, adding that no compromise will be made in this regard.

The JI chief Sirajul Haq has called upon the government to implement the proposals of reforms in FATA within two months and threatened to gather people from all the tribal agencies and frontier regions for march on Islamabad if the demand was not fulfilled.
