PESHAWAR: Awami National Party on Wednesday welcomed opening of Kartarpur corridor between Pakistan and India and asked the government to open the western border crossing points too.
ANP central president Asfandyar Wali said that like Kartarpur corridor, Pakistan should also open closed border crossing points on its western border for promoting trade and tourism cooperation with Afghanistan.
ANP chief said that peace in Pakistan was tied to stability in Afghanistan and both countries should improve their relations for regional peace.
He said that Pakistan should have friendly relations with all neighbouring countries.
Giving credit for opening of Kartarpur corridor to Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif who had tried for opening of this corridor, he said that one person who did nothing was taking credit which was not fair.
Kartarpur border a shortest route for sikh piligrims to visit Guru Nanak shrine in Noriwal district of Pakistan was opened by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan after seventy years in the presence of Sikh politicians from India on Wednesday.
