PESHAWAR, 19 July: Kashmiris of Azad Kashmir, Indian Held Kashmir and other parts of the world are observing Annexation Day with Pakistan today (Tuesday).

On July 19, 1947, the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference had demanded independence from the Indian rule and annexation with Pakistan. However this demand of Kashmiris remains unfulfilled. The Kashmiris observe Pakistan Annexation Day on 19 July every year to remind the international community about their desire to be part of Pakistan and get independence from the Indian rule.

Pakistan is also observing black day today to draw the attention of the world community towards Indian troops’ atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir.

The Senate of Pakistan also passed a resolution on Monday to condemn human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and express solidarity with the people of IHK for their right to self-determination.
