PESHAWAR, 26 November: Reports of the death of Pakistani Taliban commander Khan Said alias Sajna and 11 other militants in a US drone attack in Afghanistan have been received.
According to reports, the US drones targeted a hideout of the militants in Damma area of Khost province on Wednesday night, killing 12 militants and injuring 20 others. Reports claimed that Khan Said was also killed in the drone attack. However, the Taliban militants have not offered any comment on the drone attack.
Sajna led the breakaway faction of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after having differences over the leadership of Maulana Fazlullah. There were reports that the Taliban were holding a meeting to resolve differences among different factions when the drone strike occurred.
