JAMRUD, 27 September: Kathia Khel tribesmen on Wednesday decided not allow any kind of of construction on disputed land and appealed Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jaghra to resolve the issue.

The decision was taken at a Jirga held here at Takhta Baig area of the agency. The political administration had purchased around 3200 marla land from the Katiakhel tribe whereas around 53 persons had signed the sale deed.

However, the political administration paid the amount only to seven persons. The elders alleged that officials of the political administration were also involved in it who received huge amount of money as kickbacks.

They said that the administration protecting the persons who received the money and said that they would not allow any kind of construction until the dispute was resolved.
