JAMRUD, September 1: The Education Department of Khyber Agency has once again decided to collect scout fund from the students to promote co- curricular activities.

A meeting of all teachers and principals was held at the Government Higher Secondary School in Jamrud, with Agency Education Officer Mr Ateequr Rehman in the chair.

Mr Ateequr Rehman said that after 2010, collection of the scout fund had been stopped but that they decided to restart collecting this fund from students.

Agency Sports Supervisor Mr Shahid Khan told TNN that when a student was promoted to next class, 20 rupees were charged from them as scout fund.

“Children of teachers are relieved of various funds, but this fund is taken from all the children and it is utilised to arrange the co-curricular activities,” he added.
